True Story That Possibly Inspired In Broad Daylight
The real story happened in 2013. Bethany was 29 when she was abducted from the parking lot of a daycare center while picking up her 2-year-old child. Scott Thomas, her boyfriend and the father of her child, took her into the woods and held her against her will in an abandoned house.
The car Scott Thomas was driving was eventually located. But the police couldn’t find her. Bethany’s family didn’t wait for the police. They immediately sprang into action and went to look for her. And they were armed.
The family saw the top of the house that was nestled in the woods. They made their way into the woods and found the abandoned house. And they got there just in the nick of time. Her cousin kicked down the door to get inside. Just as Scott Thomas had begun stabbing Bethany, leaving her with several stab wounds. In an act of bravery. Her cousin shot the man several times and killed him.
Well, in the end. Marcus Arceneaux, Bethany's 23-year-old cousin, had no charges against him and served no time because the killing was considered an act of justifiable self-defense of another individual.
